Group Accounting Manager to SKF Motion Technologies in Gothenburg

On behalf of our client SKF Motion Technologies, an international growing company, we are now recruiting a Group Accounting Manager within the Group Finance organization.

 

The role
As Group Accounting Manager you will be preparing the consolidation of the SMT group consisting of 14 subsidiaries worldwide. You will also prepare the monthly and annual reporting to the parent company. You are expected to develop and optimize the reporting of SMT, including accuracy and quality in accounting and analysis with focus on harmonization and global defined templates. This is a broad role where you will be in contact with colleagues and external parties from all over the world. Many projects will be run and managed in coordination with our worldwide colleagues. You are responsible to lead and develop your team consisting of two employees. The position is based at the headquarters in Gothenburg. You will be a part of the SMT Group Finance and report to CFO.

Key responsibilities

  • Actively lead the tactical and operational planning of the group accounts and reporting in the group to meet goal, accuracy and timetable.
  • Responsible for IFRS knowledge and that the group reporting is in accordance with these rules.
  • Follow up and communicate the results for the group and coordinate with controlling department for the operational part of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Support CFO in tax and TP policy and analysis and accounting in M&A and also with coordination with controlling and SMT management.
  • Together with the other members of the finance community collaborate in projects and processes and lead the development of group accounting principles and education of these in the full group and participate in the SMT finance team management.
  • Contact person for the group in accounting work and processes as well as driver of competence in the area for all personnel involved in the finance processes.
  • Consolidation of the Group Sustainability report with support from the EHS community.

  

Competence/Experience requirements
For this position a Master’s degree in Finance, business administration or similar is required as well as at least 5 years of related qualified financial experience with special attention to group accounting and tax as well as financial analysis in international groups. You have a good understanding and experience of making annual reports according with IFRS and are also experienced with Consolidation Management Systems. You are flexible and used to delivering high quality performance within given deadlines. You are fluent in English, written as well as spoken. As a leader you are structured and methodical providing clear direction, distributing the work load appropriately and providing clear feedback to encourage others to grow.

To be successful in this position you have excellent analytical skills and the ability to have holistic and strategic mindset, combined with high level of business understanding. You are an able team worker who takes responsibility, you are goal-oriented and have a desire to achieve constant improvement and development. Characteristics required for this position involve being highly communicative and be able to influence people on all levels in the organization. You have high skills in building relations and creating networks.
